Crafted from rare English Ripple Sycamore and crowned with hand-cast bronze detailing, this chair is designed to frame the sitter in an architecture of light and grain.

A Tribute to Linear Elegance If the Manchester Cabinet is about volume, the Elson is about line. Drawing inspiration from the geometric purity of the Arts & Crafts movement and the elongation of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this chair creates a striking silhouette in any room. It is designed not just for sitting, but for holding court.

Material as Muse: The "Fiddleback" Figure The soul of the Elson lies in the timber. It is constructed from solid English Ripple Sycamore, a wood prized for its shimmering, translucent quality. The grain possesses a rare "fiddleback" figure—bands of iridescence that catch the light like watered silk. Peter Fossick selects these boards by hand, ensuring the chatoyancy (cat's eye effect) runs uninterrupted from the tapered legs to the soaring back stiles.

The Crown Jewel The crest rail features the chair's defining signature: a triptych of square motifs. Available in two distinct expressions to suit your interior narrative:

  1. The Purist: Clean, recessed timber panels for a minimalist, architectural look.

  2. The Ornament: Inset with hand-patinated Bronze Reliefs, featuring intricate geometric casting that adds a dark, jewelry-like contrast to the pale wood.
